Get your hands dirty and your imagination growing!
Young nature enthusiasts can explore the wonders of gardening, sustainability and community through fun, hands-on activities. Each week introduces a new project that helps kids connect with the environment, develop fine motor skills, and get creative.
6 Weeks!
Wednesdays, July 23 - August 27, 2025
11:00am or 2:00pm
Recommended age group: 5-10 years (Adults required to attend with children)
$3 per week for members OR $5 per week for non-members, with museum admission
Bonus Blooms:
Register for all 6 weeks and get one week FREE... plus attend all 6 sessions and get a surprise from us on the last day!
*Registration is required. 15 children max per session.
Attendees must purchase tickets/check in at least 15 minutes in advance!

Week 1 Nature Journal
July 23
Create and decorate your own journal to sketch, write and reflect on all of your cool outdoor discoveries!

Week 2 Butterfly Discovery
July 30
Explore the life cycle of butterflies and why pollinators are important for the environment.

Week 3 Toilet Paper Roll Bird Feeders
August 6
Make simple bird feeders using recycled materials and learn about the birds that live in our area… and feed them at home!

Week 4 Propagation Station
August 13
Create a new plant from an old one! Learn how plants grow and start your own from cuttings.

Week 5 Building our Community Garden
August 20
Help us design a new space in the museum and plant herbs that will grow all year!

Week 6 Seed Bombs
August 27
Create your own seed bombs to take home and plant wildflowers right in your own backyard!
