Looking for a play-based learning experience for your school or organization?
We can’t wait to welcome you to our new museum! We’re excited to welcome schools to explore, play, and learn at the NEW Utica Children’s Museum!

Every
Group Trip
Includes:
- Two hours of museum play and exploration
- Reserved arrival time with quick and easy check-in
- Access to all hands-on exhibits and galleries
- Dedicated bus entrance for easy and safe pick up and drop off
Chaperones
Chaperones play an important role in ensuring a safe and fun experience for all! Adults are responsible for providing active supervision of children during museum visits. Required adult chaperones receive free museum admission. Additional adults beyond the required ratio are welcome but museum admission is $12 per adult.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW
- Once we receive your request, we will respond within 72 business hours to confirm your reservation details and availability. After your details are confirmed, we will send you an invoice.
- Full payment is due upon arrival unless other arrangements are made ahead of your visit. Checks should be made out to “Utica Children’s Museum.”
- We will reach out one week prior to your trip to review your booking, go over important information for your visit, and answer any remaining questions you may have.
- Groups must arrive at their scheduled time, NO EARLIER than 15 minutes prior to their start time. Late arrivals may result in shortened museum time.
- For the safety of the students, Field Trips are REQUIRED to remain on their buses until greeted by a member of the museum staff.
- If your group has students with special needs, please let us know in advance so we can help accommodate your visit.
- Water bottles are recommended, but vending machines are also available in The Meeting Place.
- At this time, we cannot accommodate lunch or snack time at the museum, so please plan accordingly!
FIELD TRIP POLICIES
- Students should use walking feet, and voices should stay at a respectful level.
- No running, throwing, hitting, roughhousing, or any behavior that could hurt you or others.
- Chaperones must remain with students at all times.
SOCKS ARE REQUIRED to experience The Climber and Sock Skating Pond. - For the safety of the students, Field Trips are REQUIRED to remain on their buses until greeted by a member of the museum staff.
- Please treat our museum, and everyone you meet here with kindness and respect.
- Placing items from each exhibit back where they belong after playing is a great way to help make everyone’s visit more enjoyable!
- No weapons, tobacco, marijuana, vaping, illicit drugs or alcohol are allowed anywhere on museum property.
- In case of emergency, museum staff will follow established safety protocols.
- It’s COOL to be KIND! Mean words, threats, or any harmful behavior towards visitors or staff are absolutely NOT welcome.
- Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule your field trip, please contact us as soon as possible. Reservations cancelled less than 24 hours prior to their visit date will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to half of their outstanding balance. Refunds for late cancellations or no-shows will not be issued.
